Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing and wrestling before making her debut as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and began a 3 fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in each fight. She then went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her via unanimous decision to put an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd rebounded from her loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Fc 11, she defeated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the fight in the first round via TKO. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first bout in the Bantamweight division. Aspen defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in second round. Aspen used her superior grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her via the third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd did not gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the second round by TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion by unanimous decision. Her UFC debut was in UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She defeated Lina by pounding and grounding her, winning the TKO during the second round. Her next fight, against Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd defeated Evinger in the opening round and got a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first match she's had in a major capacity. The victory of Ladd was a unanimous decision, as well as she was awarded the Fight of the Night award went to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie only needed 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya lost by Ladd in the third round of UFC 7 at ESPN. In a recent match replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight was a unanimous decision.
